The Worsley expansion is expected to create up to 4000 construction jobs over the life of the project, at the refinery and at the mine.
An expansion employment services office operates from Unit 1, 82 Blair Street, Bunbury. The phone number is (08) 9774 0800. Part-time offices will operate periodically in Collie and Boddington.
People interested in employment can register at these offices or fill out and lodge an application form. Contractors on the project will use this list to recruit workers.
A state-of-the art accommodation village for construction workers providing up to 1550 beds has been established near the Worsley refinery. A similar accommodation village will be used close to the mine.
The expansion project is using the ProjectConnect website to provide information about contract and supply opportunities.
ProjectConnect is owned by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry WA. It allows local suppliers and contractors to register and pre-qualify for various packages. It also allows for them to be notified of successful tenders to encourage subcontracting opportunities.
